Salute the swingin' styles of jazz masters at The Living Desert's spectacular Jazzoo concert series. From boogie to ballads to bebop and blues, the sounds of our 28th season celebrate America's original art form in the wildest of ways.   Scheduled on six Sunday afternoons, Jazzoo features indoor cabaret style at tables seating for ten, great conversation, and music that transcends time. The Humana Challenge PGA TOUR

 

Humana, the Clinton Foundation and the PGA TOUR have a shared interest in taking on today's health and wellness challenges by raising awareness and charitable dollars through the new Humana Challenge PGA TOUR event. The tournament will "challenge" participating pros, amateurs, celebrities, volunteers, spectators and millions of viewers around the country to better understand their role in their own well-being and to take steps to improve their health. To this end the tournament will include healthy concession options, pedometers for measuring steps taken and calories burned, a family fit area, and on-course wellness activities. A Tribute to Harry James

 

Master trumpet artist Dr. Jack Poster will lead his 10-piece big band in "A Tribute to the Music of Harry James" at the Indian Wells Theater.  Poster was lead trumpet with the Harry James Orchestra (1969-1971).  Also featured are vocalists Troy Clarke and Cassie Miller. They will perform hits such as "All of Me," "Days of Wine and Roses," "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" and "Blue Tango."   more info...

Horse Show In The Sun

HITS - which stands for Horse Shows In the Sun - specializes in hunter/jumper horse shows that judge both horse and rider from the time they enter the ring to the minute they leave on a variety of factors - like grace, style, presentation and appearance. Returning to Ironwood Country Club, one of the valley's most beloved tournaments features a spectacular day of play with continental breakfast, plated lunch and cocktails, and mini silent auction.
